“Did you have a problem?”

A question I get asked is “Did you have a problem?” But how does somebody know if they have “a problem”?

Why is it,

If a person says, I’m quitting sugar — people often say, “oh that’s great, good for you, sugar is bad for your health”

If a person says, I’m quitting smoking — people say, “wow that’s great, good for you, smoking is bad for your health”

If a person says, I’m quitting alcohol — people say 2 things:

1. Why?

2. Do you have a problem?

I don’t have a problem.  I have a new perspective. I had no idea just how harmful alcohol was to my body or my mind until I began to inquire about the effects and to question my own thoughts and choices.

I don’t have a problem.  I have a purpose. I prioritize my personal health as the highest priority in my life. Yoga, a good night’s rest and food that fuels my body well are my focus.

A better question to ask ourselves “would my life be happier if I was drinking less?” If you are curious, message me, we will set up a complimentary discovery call and answer that question together.
